Lee Greens Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting and preserving the privacy of our customers. This Privacy Policy contains an explanation of what happens to personal data that you choose to provide to us, or that we collect from you. We do occasionally update this Policy so please do return and review this Policy from time to time.

Information we collect

We collect the information you provide through this website, via email or by telephone or other means:

  1. Personal information including name, address, telephone number and email address;
  2. Details of the veg bags you have ordered including the choice of product and pickup point;
  3. Any other information you submit via the website contact form or via email or by telephone or other means;
  4. Details of visits to our website and the pages and resources that are accessed, including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, emails that are opened, links clicked, and other communication data

Other information collected 

In order to subscribe to the veg bag scheme you will need to provide banking details (for direct debits) via our website – this is collected and processed by our payment processor (GoCardless). See below for more details.

How information is used

If you are a customer then we use the information to manage your account, deliver your veg bags and any other contractual obligation we may have. We will also use the information to send you important information about the veg bag scheme, including the weekly newsletter.

If you have signed up to the newsletter or other marketing emails then we will use the information and your consent to send you these emails. Details of visits to our website and related data may be used to assist us in understanding how visitors use the website and emails.

Controlling your personal data

Lee Greens Lewisham is the data controller for personal data excluding banking (i.e. direct debit) details. GoCardless is data controller for banking details. More details on GoCardless's role here.

Sharing your personal data

We may share your personal data with third parties:

  • When we have a legal obligation to do so;
  • When It is necessary to meet our contractual obligations to you (see also the “processing and storing your personal data” section below);
  • On the occasion of sale or transfer of control of all or part of Lee Greens. In this case, we will transfer your personal data to the new owner or controller. They will be permitted to use your personal data for the same purposes for which it was originally supplied to us.

Processing and storing your personal data

Information we collect is processed by us and by other companies on our behalf – GoCardless for payments, Boxmaster Systems to provide the online account management system and Mailchimp to provide email and related services. Only the information needed for each purpose is processed by each company. Data may be transferred and held outside of the EEA. We have reviewed the safeguards in place to ensure the security of data.

By submitting your data you agree that it will be transferred, processed and stored according to this privacy policy. The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us electronically and transmission of such data is therefore entirely at your own risk. We will retain your data for such a time as is necessary to ensure the operation of the veg bag scheme and to meet our contractual obligations to you.

Accessing and updating your data

You have the right to ask for a copy of any of your personal Data held by us (where such Data is held). 

If you are a customer then you may update your personal details at any time by logging into your account on the website. You may request that any data is brought up to date or corrected where it is found to be out of date or incorrect.

You may unsubscribe from the other marketing email list by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link found at the bottom of each email.

There are some third party websites on our website. These websites should have their own privacy policies which you should check. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for their policies whatsoever as we have no control over them.
